Our 2024 Spring Term ends this week with final rehearsals, social and a performance at Crystal Palace Food Market. Sessions will restart 17th April (Balham), 18th April (Beckenham) and 19th April (Crystal Palace). Please see the How to Find Us and Term Dates pages for more details, and book your place here. Feel free to email us at info@cribnotes.co.uk with any questions, or just to say hi. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Louise leads a vocal warm up in the Great Southern pub for a group of our mums and babies.

Crib Notes is a friendly, non-auditioned choir created specially for parents and carers with young children – everyone welcome, no singing experience required.

Sessions are designed so you can bring your little one along – for some entertainment and bonus musical and developmental benefits! We work flexibly so you can come as you are and look after yourself and your little one as you need during the session; and still learn the songs. We provide practice resources too so you can listen and sing along at home if you want to as well.

We have regular socials through the term and a whatsapp group for connection outside rehearsals. We also organise a performance at the end to provide an aim and bring all the clubs together.

Enhance your wellbeing; meet other local parents; let someone else lead for an hour; and have some fun singing pop, world and folk music – no nursery rhymes!

Little ones having fun during a Crib Notes Choir session

“Crib notes choir was one of the best things I did during mat leave. I joined the Balham choir when my little one was 2 months old. It was such a fun, supportive and welcoming environment and a lovely way to meet people and learn to sing lots of different kinds of songs. My little one also loved listening to the music and was kept well entertained. I’d definitely recommend to others to give it a go.

“From the bottom of my heart, Crib Notes absolutely saved me during lockdown. I look back at that crazy time, and can’t quite believe what we all went through, and I consider Crib Notes to be my absolute lifeline. Your energy, positivity, incredible talent, and your communal spirit came through and helped so many people. You’ve solidified a very large and very significant place in my heart.”

“This is one of my favourite baby activities – so much so that I have organised returning to work so I am still off on choir day.  Singing is such a joyful and invigorating thing to do, and the teaching and range of songs is great. The little ones love it too!  100% recommended.”
Anna (and Baby Susie)

“Crib Notes was a lovely experience and I recommend it. The music ranges from uplifting pop music you’d recognise to beautiful folk music from around the world. Your little ones hang out and play while you and the other mums (or dads, carers) entertain them  If you like the sound of it, try it!”

Crib Notes is such a great mat leave activity if you like a bit of singing. Singing in harmony with other lovely mums and dads is so uplifting. You don’t need to be able to read music as Jake leads you through it, and you can listen to your part on the website, if you’re super keen. I’m sad that mat leave is over so I can’t keep going!
